Patricia Christie Galleries Re-launch
Patricia Christie Galleries was created in 2005. We are founded on the idea that if a work of art brings you happiness, develops a thought process in your mind, takes you places or transforms your vision of the world, you have reason enough to own it.
Raised among artists, Patricia is first and foremost a collector of art. Her passion evolved from collecting to promoting emerging talents when living in Moscow for 6 years in the 2000s. In time, Patricia’s insights into collectors’ preferences led to partnerships with artists, curating exhibitions and fostering artist-buyer connections.
Moving to Singapore, Patricia Christie developed Patricia Christie Galleries into a business and platform to promote artists at a pivotal point in their career. Patricia then took the gallery to Dubai, furthering her dedication to endorsing local talent by working with artists to showcase solo exhibitions in strategic spaces around the city.
After years abroad, Patricia Christie Galleries has come back to the UK. In London we are renewing our commitment to curating a contemporary programme of exhibitions and events. Our intention is to cater to both international and local art enthusiasts and collectors, with a talent across modern and traditional artforms.
Our Directors
Patricia Christie
Founder and Director Patricia brings experience from her family’s prominence in Latin American art history and her formal education in Anthropology and History of Art. She also holds advanced qualifications from Sotheby’s and Christie’s. Since 2005 Patricia has grown the gallery into a space where artists are the focal point. With this in mind, at our Artists page you’ll find our artists personal journeys and the stories behind their art, where we strive to build connections between artist and collector.
Alejandra Christie
Alejandra, Patricia’s daughter, has moved to London and joined the gallery as Director. She grew up in a house with no white spaces on the walls and surrounded by great art. Over the years she has become a collector and art enthusiast in her own right. Alejandra has a vast understanding of the know-hows of global strategic marketing. She brings diverse experience from the worlds of Business and Advertising.
Inspiring each other and interlacing their skills, Patricia and Ale are here to embrace the shifts in the global art world with the intention to get art in front of those who are looking to acquire their next work of art… or people who are curious to discover all that art is.
